I live in the middle of the beautiful Devonshire countryside and walk my dogs every day. Because they are somewhat elderly dogs our walks are leisurely which gives me plenty of time to look at nature. Alice Whippet is nearly 16 and Poppy Lurcher is round about 12. Today we saw a great deal of Lady's Bedstraw. Long ago, this sweet smelling plant was used to stuff mattresses.
