I am a Devon-based writer. Recently my husband and I and our dogs, a lurcher and a whippet, moved to an old converted barn near Chudleigh. It is a real pleasure to be able to step out into the countryside and observe seasonal changes whatever the weather.
I always have loved writing. I remember at Primary School, we were allowed to write stories when we had finished our ‘work’. My stories were frequently about fairies and princesses. Later as a teenager, I must have become more daring because I remember hiding my stories under the floorboards.
Following retirement as headteacher of a special school, I started writing fiction again. After writing 'Can I tell you about Dyspraxia?' which tells the reader about dyspraxia from a child’s perspective, I was inspired to write Ant’s Awesome Adventure. This is a story about a boy with dyspraxia who finds himself in the wrong place at the right time and discovers a plot about pirate treasure.
