I am a Devon based writer of books about dyspraxia and local history. I also write children's books, short stories, poems and articles. My husband and I and our dog Lucy live in Bovey Tracey. I always have loved writing. At Primary School, we were allowed to write stories when we had finished our work. My stories were frequently about fairies and princesses. Later as a teenager, I must have become more daring because I remember hiding my stories under the floorboards.After writing 'Can I tell you about Dyspraxia?' which tells the reader about dyspraxia from a child’s perspective, I was inspired to write Ant’s Awesome Adventure. This is a story about a boy with dyspraxia who finds himself in the wrong place at the right time and discovers a plot about pirate treasure. I have recently written 'The Templer Way Story' which is the history of a walk which follows the route of the Dartmoor Granite Railway and Stover Canal. My current project is about the history of Heathfield, a village within the parish of Bovey Tracey. I have strong family link with Heathfield as my great grandfather worked at Candy's Brick and Tile Works and my grandmother and her siblings went to school in the village.I have just published another children's book called 'Tobal and the Moving Statues' about a boy whose people are stuck in a time bubble by an evil wizard.
